Crisis Section 18 for Dual Magnum on tomatoes

Diana Roll, ODA, is issuing a Crisis Section 18 for Dual
Magnum on tomatoes for Ohio. This has been necessitated due
to EPA's delay in processing our application. The crisis
registration is good for 2 weeks, effective Today, May 30,
2002.

Please join Ohio State University specialists Dr. Celeste
Welty, Dr. Mac Riedel, and Dr. Doug Doohan as they scout
cabbage, pepper, and cucumber fields for insects, diseases,
and weeds. The specialists will discuss control measures
and answer growers' questions. Growers and consultants are
encouraged to bring their questions and samples of problems.
Reservations are not necessary, and the tour is free.

More wet weather, cooler.
Late Monday through Wednesday, a storm bringing rain from
the central plains will move across OH into PA. One weather
service indicates that over the next 8 day period, Columbus,
OH will have more days of rain than days that reach 80

the Univ. of IL on disease reactions of sweet corn.
In these summaries, all experimental and processing
varieties have been removed and only named varieties which
were rated for common rust or MDM are included. The first
list are those named varieties rated for common rust. The
second list are only those named varieties rated for Maize
